The Next Contest Starts January 1
The next trading contest will commence on January 1, 2024, at 00:00 UTC, running until January 31. The theme for this contest will be revealed soon, so stay tuned for that!
The January contest will bring some important changes to the contest format:
- Realized P&L Focus: Only realized profits and losses will count towards leaderboard positions. This means active trading and strategic position modifications will be crucial.
- 🚨As a reminder, any modification to an open position realizes the entirety of P&L for that position. You DO NOT need to fully close a position to realize the entirety of the P&L.
- No Minimum Holding Period: There’s no required holding period for positions to count in the contest.
Position Opening Time Irrelevant: It doesn’t matter when a position was opened; all that counts is the realized P&L during the contest period.
Rewards and Raffles
The prize pool remains enticing, starting at $2,000 with 1st place winning $1,000, 2nd place $600, and 3rd place $400. Additionally, 7 NFTs will be raffled off among 'in the money' traders, including 5 Eternally Staked Vanta NFTs from AssetDash and 2 HOA NFTs from Parcl.
Refined 'In the Money' Criteria
The January contest will see a change in the in-the-money criteria, shifting from the top 15% to the top 10% of users on the leaderboard. The prize pool will continue to grow by $50 for every user who is 'in the money.' With a max prize pool of $10,000 USDC added capping in-the-money traders at 203 total.
